Marshall County – The driver of the 2007 Chevrolet Impala that was involved in the three vehicle fatal crash on US 31 and 9A Rd. Thursday has been identified as 79-year-old Donna Westerhausen of Tinley Park, Illinois.
Westerhausen was killed in the crash when she drove her east bound car into the path of a south bound semi tractor trailer and a van on US 31. The semi struck the driver side door of Westerhausen’s vehicle sending it careening into the van. The collision forced both vehicles across the grass median and into the north bound lanes of US 31.
Westerhausen died at the scene as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. The other two drivers 36-year-old Emir Domazet, of Largo, Florida and Timothy Lands, 45, of Elkhart, received minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital.
