Greenfield, IN - An investigation by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, yielded information directing investigators to file for a search warrant at the Rushville home of 41 year old Timothy Boyd. Upon execution of the requested search warrant, investigators determined the home was unoccupied and Boyd had recently moved to 1631 Whisler Drive in Greenfield Indiana. A subsequent warrant was obtained for that residence in Greenfield and with the assistance of the Greenfield Police Department, was executed Tuesday October 11th, 2016. Detectives allegedly found evidence indicating Boyd was utilizing the internet to download and view pornographic images of minors.
Boyd was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hancock County Jail. The Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office has charged him with Possession of Child Pornography.
Since this investigation led to an arrest and charges being filed, any further inquiries about this case should be directed to the Hancock County Prosecutors Office. Criminal charges are merely accusations and all suspects named in this release are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
