With winter right around the corner it is time to take some preventative measures to help keep your family and property safe this winter season.

• Have your chimneys cleaned and checked by a professional prior to having your first fire.
• Change the batteries in your smoke detectors along with your CO detectors if you have ones without the ten year batteries.
• Purchase a CO detector if you don't have one but have  gas or wood fired appliances.  Carbon Monoxide is a silent killer.
• Remove  pine needles from your roof and gutters
• Store  flammable fuels away from any open flame appliances in your garage.
