Traffic Advisories for October 16, 2016 in the Islip Area. 
On Sunday, October 16, 2016, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will hold their 5K run from 11AM to 3 PM. South Bay Road will be closed from Main Street down to Islip Town Beach. Intermittent closings of Main Street in front of the Town Hall will also take place during the race.
On Sunday, October 16, 2016, the Islip Fire Department Hook & Ladder Co. #1 will hold their Street Fair from 10 AM to 6 PM. Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Smith Avenue to Byron Lane.
Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and to expect delays.
