<p>Two Vehicle DUI Collision in Chula Vista Results in Serious Injuries</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>On 10/13/16, at approximately 10:15 PM, the Chula Vista Police Department received numerous 911 calls reporting a serious traffic accident involving two vehicles in the 00 block of Bonita Road.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>Officers arrived on scene and discovered a male subject suffering from serious injuries. The subject was transported to Scripps Mercy hospital. The two occupants from the other vehicle involved, had minor injuries.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The preliminary investigation indicates this collision was caused by an intoxicated driver who failed to stop for a red traffic signal.&nbsp; The driver, who also suffered serious injuries, was arrested for DUI. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Chula Vista Police Traffic Division will be continuing to investigate this incident.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
