<p>We have recently received a few phone calls about some scammers calling Duke Energy customers representing themselves as Duke Energy. In the past they have advised your bill is overdue and try to get financial information from you. Please be aware of this and never give out any of your information out over the phone unless you have called Duke Energy yourself.</p>

<p>During the power outages you may also receive calls trying to get information from you stating they need this information to get your power back on. Please do not give them any of your information. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Carthage Police Department</p>
