The Kitty Hawk Police Department is currently investigating a Tona Virtue Korntved of Pennsylsvania for multiple counts of felony worthless check and financial identity fraud. Korntved and her wedding party rented several homes on the Outer Banks around the week of July 12, 2016 as well as contracted with several businesses to provide wedding services at the Hilton Garden Inn of Kitty Hawk. The investigation has generated more victims than were thought to exist and now the possibility of more victims. If you are someone you know rented a house, provided services or contracted with Tona Virtue Korntved for a wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn of Kitty Hawk during the week of July 11, 2016 please call the Kitty Hawk Police Department at (252) 261-3895 and ask to speak with Sgt.
