On Monday October 17, 2016 the Polk County Sheriff's Office and the Columbus Police Department conducted a joint investigation into two homes in Columbus, which led to the recovery of 230 grams of marijuana, and the arrests of two individuals. Operating off of a tip, investigators began surveillance of the residences, and eventually executed search warrants at both locations leading to recovery of the illegal drugs and the arrests. Investigators charged Andres Cao Jr. and Justice Cao, both residents of 65 Hammet St. Columbus N.C. with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, and Conspiracy to Deliver Marijuana. Both Cao's received $18,000.00 secured bonds and a court date of October 19, 2016.
