<p>NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT EXAMINATION</p>
<p>Date of Exam: October 29th, 2016</p>
<p>The Red Oak Police Department is seeking applicants for:</p>
<p>POLICE OFFICER</p>
<p>Starting pay for a Police Officer is $43,000.00 annually (upon completion of the Police Academy.) Lateral entry program up to $46,235.00 DOQ.</p>
<p>Minimum requirements are as follows:<br />
•Must hold a Basic Peace Officer’s License issued by TCOLE or meet all legal requirements necessary to become eligible for future licensing by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE)</p>
<p>•NO more than three (3) convictions of hazardous traffic violations in the last twenty-four (24) months. (Does not include "Deferred Adjudication" or "Driver’s Safety Course.")</p>
<p>•NEVER convicted of, nor placed on deferred adjudication for:<br />
1.a felony or Class A misdemeanor<br />
2.a Class B misdemeanor within the last 10 years, and no admission of the commission of a Class B misdemeanor within the last 5 years<br />
3.four or more Class C misdemeanors in the last 10 years and none within the last 12 months<br />
Applicants will be required to pass the following steps in the application process. Each step must be passed to move to the next step.<br />
1.Written test<br />
2.Job-Task simulation assessment<br />
3.Oral review board<br />
4.Background investigation<br />
5.Psychological examination, polygraph test and medical exam (including drug screen)</p>
