Problem Oriented Policing Unit and Code Enforcement Conducting Municipal Code Enforcement in Anderson
<p>On Friday, October 21st 2016, the Anderson P.D.’s Problem Oriented Policing (P.O.P.) Unit in partnership with the City of Anderson, Code Enforcement Unit, conducted transient camp eradication operations throughout the city. Working in preparation of scheduled clean-up efforts by the Shasta Support Services, approximately 15 unlawful transient camps were located on private property between the Balls Ferry Road area, Deschutes Road area, and State Highway 273.</p>
<p>A number of contacts were made and citations were issued regarding violations of the City of Anderson’s Municipal Code. In addition to this project, Code Enforcement and P.O.P., visited five locations where unlawful marijuana cultivation was occurring within the city. Citations had previously been issued to some of the citizens who were growing marijuana in violation of the City of Anderson’s Municipal Code. Voluntary eradication was confirmed at some of the other locations as well.</p>
