URGENT: NWS issued Blizzard Warning for Valdez & Thompson Pass through Sunday morning. 
The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning for Valdez and Thompson Pass effective 4:00 p.m. today [Friday] through 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Thompson Pass MP 23 to 33 is expected to receive snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches with near whiteout conditions at times. Wind 25 tp 35 mph increasing to 40 to 50 mph by Saturday morning. Snowfall combined with strong winds and blowing snow will produce white-out conditions. Driving will be difficult.
