Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 27 year-old male Black adult that occurred on Sunday, October 30, 2016.
 
Detectives have learned that at approximately 2:12 a.m., Lancaster Station deputies responded to a “gunshot victim” call.  When they arrived to the 45300 block of Andale Avenue in Lancaster, they discovered the victim, who had been shot, lying in the street next to his car.  The victim was treated by paramedics but was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Deputies spoke to a witness, the victim’s relative, who stated that the victim had been attending a Halloween party in the 45000 block of Trevor Avenue, Lancaster, when he was shot. The witness said that while she drove to the hospital with the victim, she crashed her car into the curb, disabling it.
 
It is unknown if the incident is gang related.
 
At this time, there is no suspect(s) description.
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
