Announces:
Arrests In A Criminal Homicide/Murder Investigation
The Southern Pines Police Department announces arrests for First Degree Murder, Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Accessory After the Fact of Murder. These arrests stem from a murder and shooting incident that occurred at 714 W. Michigan Avenue, Southern Pines, North Carolina on October 28, 2016.
On Saturday October 29, 2016, Malik Rashad Crawford, 20 years old from Aberdeen, North Carolina was arrested and charged with Accessory after the Fact of Murder. Malik Rashad Crawford has been confined to the Moore County Detention Center, Carthage, North Carolina under a $300,000.00 secured bond pending a November 22, 2016 court appearance.
On Sunday October 30, 2016, Montice Tyree McManus, 16 years old from Southern Pines, North Carolina was arrested and charged with Murder and Assault With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. Montice Tyree McManus has been confined to the Guilford County Jail, High Point, North Carolina with no bond pending a November 22, 2016 court appearance.
