Orr sustained serious injuries in the collision. He was air lifted from the scene to University of Cincinnati Hospital for treatment of his injuries. A passenger in Orr’s vehicle, Joshua L. Sangl, age 27, Saint Paul, Indiana, sustained injuries in the crash. He was transported by ambulance to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana for treatment. The severity of the injuries to both occupants is unknown at this time.
The westbound lanes of I-74 were closed for approximately one hour for crash investigation and cleanup. The eastbound lanes of I-74 were closed briefly during the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
