Vigo County—On Monday afternoon November 1 at 3:20, Indiana State Police Trooper Brad Miller arrested the suspect from a resisting law enforcement investigation that began on October 6, 2016. Yesterday’s arrest occurred at a convenience store near Pimento after Trooper Miller first spotted the wanted man traveling as a passenger in car on State Road 246 just west of US 41.
Arrested: Bradley Furney, age 25, of rural Farmersburg, IN.
Incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail
Bradley Furney was arrested on a Vigo County court warrant for Resisting Law Enforcement and Receiving Stolen Property which Trooper Miller had obtained through his investigation that began on October 6, 2016. At the time of Furney’s arrest on November 1, Trooper Miller found approximately one-half gram of suspected Methamphetamine in Furney’s possession. An additional charge of Possession of Methamphetamine was then added. Assisting was ISP Trooper Erik Smith and Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Sweeney.
On October 6, 2016, Trooper Brad Miller attempted to stop a black 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle on US 41 near Pimento for a stop sign violation. Bradley Furney is suspected of being the cycle driver and at that time, Furney fled into a nearby cornfield where he eluded officers from multiple agencies. Trooper Miller recovered the motorcycle and found the Harley Davidson reported stolen to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office from Wabash Valley Harley Davidson.
