Suspect in Attempted Robbery of Sebastopol Wells Fargo Bank Arrested
On 10-31-16, a suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank in Sebastopol wearing a disguise and demanded $50 and $100 bills. Upon being told by a teller to remove his disguise, the suspect refused and left the bank empty-handed. The Sebastopol Police Department has previously broadcast a Nixle alert with additional details related to that case.
On 11-2-16, after an investigation by the Sebastopol Police Department, the suspect, whose identity will not be disclosed because he is a juvenile, came into the department and turned himself in. During the investigative interview with the suspect, he made statements that only the person who committed this crime could know. The suspect was arrested for attempted bank robbery and booked into the Sonoma County Juvenile Detention Facility.
