Two suspects charged after victim shot during robbery attempt

Suspects: Malik Braswell, Kendall Trevon Coley
On November 2, 2016 at 12:00PM, members of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office responded to 4140 Macedonia Road in reference to shots fired. Both suspects, Malik Braswell and Kendall Coley, were both on scene when the NCSO arrived. A thorough investigation was conducted and it was revealed that Malik Braswell, 19, resided at 4140 Macedonia Road and that both suspects robbed the victim of approximately $25.00 of marijuana. During the robbery, Kendall Coley, 17, allegedly fired an AR style rifle at the vehicle that the victim was in striking the victim in the hand. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Kendall Coley received a bond of $600,000 and Malik Braswell received a bond of $200,000. Both were remanded to the Nash County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and given a District Court date of November 3, 2016.
