WHY: Roundabout Construction and Road Resurfacing
BACKGROUND: The Washtenaw County Road Commission has reopened Ann Arbor-Saline Road and Textile Road in Lodi Township after completing the construction of a single-lane roundabout. Additionally, Textile Road between Ann Arbor-Saline Road and Maple Road has been pulverized and resurfaced.
WCRC encourages motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians to familiarize themselves with how to safely travel roundabouts. Vehicles circulating inside the roundabout have the right-of-way. Motorists/bicyclists wishing to enter the roundabout must slow down and yield, or sometimes stop, and wait to enter the roundabout when a safe gap is present.
