Three Vehicle Crash Closes I-65 in Clark County with One Person Injured
Clark County-Today at approximately 12:09 pm, traffic was stop and go on Interstate #65 South Bound at the 2.8 Mile Marker, as part of the normal traffic situation in this area. A 2016 International Box Truck, driven by John O’Bannon, 47, from Louisville, KY, was stopped in the fast lane, with a 2016 Ford Fusion, driven by Nicholas A. Dame, 24, from Boise, ID, stopped in front of him. For an unknown reason, a 2003 Ford pickup truck, pulling a travel trailer, being driven by Carolyn J. Sieving, 72, from Chandlerville, IL, crashed into the rear of the box truck, spinning it around and on top of the 2016 Ford Fusion.
The driver of the Ford pickup truck pulling the travel trailer was seriously injured and was transported to University Hospital in Louisville, KY. It is unknown if she was wearing a seat belt. Neither of the other drivers was injured. Both of those drivers were wearing a seat belt.
Interstate #65 was closed for nearly one hour due to the crash investigation.
