At 12:49 pm today, the West Covina Police Department received a 9-1-1 call about a traffic collision that occurred at Azusa Avenue at Fairgrove involving a motorcycle trike vs a vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle trike was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary details suggest the vehicle been travelling north on Azusa Avenue and turned west onto Fairgrove.
The motorcycle trike had been travelling south on Azusa Avenue. Investigators are on scene. The name of the fatality will not be released until notification of family has been made.
Road closures are in place for southbound Azusa Avenue at Autumn Drive and eastbound Fairgrove at Nelson and will remain as such until further notice.
No other information is available at this time.
