Arrest Made in South 3rd Avenue Shooting, investigation Continues. 
Oakdale Police Department investigators continue to follow up on the early morning October 31st shooting from the 300 block of South 3rd Avenue that sent a 20 year old male to an area hospital for non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported seeing a white Kia and a teal Ford Thunderbird that may have been involved driving north on 3rd Avenue away from the shooting scene.
Investigators served a search warrant at 348 South 3rd Avenue on November 2nd and continued to follow leads throughout this past week that led them to a suspect in Modesto late Friday night. Investigators from Oakdale PD, working with an apprehension team from Modesto PD, arrested Dana Craig Perry, 27 years old, in Modesto late Friday night. Perry was booked into Stanislaus County Jail for alleged violation of Penal Code 664/187 Attempted Murder.
Oakdale PD is still looking for 32 year old Michael “Mike” Walker of Oakdale for questioning as a person of interest along with other possible witnesses and suspects. Investigators continue to ask anyone with information regards the shooting to contact Detective Stilwell at 209-84-2231.
