Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reports a Chaffee man arrested on drug charges.

David A. Turner (32) has been charged with the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance (x2) and the Class A Misdemeanor of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Sheriff Walter states that on Thursday, November 11, 2016 deputies served a search warrant in Chaffee for controlled substances. Deputies located Turner in the shed during the search. Located in the shed were plastic baggies containing a white powdery substance, along with drug paraphernalia used to ingest and weigh controlled substances. A green leafy, substance and a Schedule IV controlled substance prescription pill was located in the shed also.

Located inside Turner’s bedroom there was more green, leafy substance and paraphernalia used to store and ingest controlled substances.

The white powdery substance tested positive for methamphetamine, and the green, leafy substance tested positive for marijuana.

Turner was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. Turner remains in custody at the Scott County Jail. Bond was set by the court at $15,000 cash or surety.
