DETECTIVES SEARCH FOR MISSING WOMAN IN NEED OF MEDICATION
Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department Special Victims Unit are asking for the public's help in locating a missing female. At approximately 1:30 p.m., police communications received a call requesting police response to the 3300 block of Killian Avenue, for a female who was missing. When officers arrived, they were notified that 53-year-old Cynthia Dunbar had left her home without telling anyone and did not have her medication. Officers circulated the area, but were unable to locate Ms. Dunbar.
Cynthia Dunbar is described as a black female who stands approximately 5'4" tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Ms. Dunbar was last seen wearing black bell-bottom pants with white specks, black tennis shoes, and a pink t-shirt. Detectives are concerned for her well-being because she takes her medication at the same time every day for her condition and she does not have her medication with her.
