Former Nash County Paramedic arrested for Larceny by Employee
On 11/16/2016, Derek Turner, a former Nash County Paramedic, was charged with one count of Larceny by Employee by the Nash County Sheriff’s Office. During a review of fuel card charges, it was discovered that Derek Turner used a Nash County Emergency Medical Service’s fuel card to purchase gasoline for his personal vehicles on several occasion between 05/11/2016 and 10/31/2016.
The investigation conducted by Detectives with the Nash County Sheriff’s Office determined that the total fuel misappropriated by Derek Turner was $418.46.
A $1,000.00 secured bond was set by the magistrate and first court appearance is set for Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Nashville District Court. No further information at this time.
