Man Arrested for Vehicle Break-Ins.
Over the past couple of months Hope Mills Police Officers have responded to Grandson’s Restaurant on several occasions in reference to vehicles being broken into while they sat in the parking lot.
During the course of the investigation into these break-ins, information was developed that indicated Christopher Boyd, 22, of the 1700 block of Bee Gee Road in Lumberton, was responsible for the break-ins.
On Friday, November 18, 2016 Hope Mills Police Detectives located Mr. Boyd in Robeson County and took him into custody with the assistance of NC Probation and Parole Agents. Mr. Boyd was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $7500.00 bond for the following charges:
2 Counts of Felony B&E of a Motor Vehicle
2 Counts of Felony Larceny from a Motor Vehicle
1 Count of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense
This investigation is ongoing and, more charges against Mr. Boyd are likely.
