Driver Jailed for Driving 127mph
Parke County—This evening at 9:25, Indiana State Police Trooper Chuck Murphy was patrolling US 36 in eastern Parke County and clocked a vehicle traveling at 127 miles-per-hour in a 55mph zone on westbound US 36 near County Road 275 East. The 2017 Dodge Viper was stopped and the driver identified as 42-year-old Douglas J. McGuirk of Terre Haute, IN.
Trooper Murphy incarcerated McGuirk in the Parke County Jail on a charge of Reckless Driving, a class B misdemeanor.
