Chula Vista Police Investigating a Shooting, Homicide 
On 11/22/16 at about 10:22 pm Chula Vista Police received several 911 calls of shots fired in the area of Kearny Street and Church Avenue, Chula Vista. Nearby Chula Vista Police Officers heard the shots as well and responded to the area. They found two male victims with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital. One died from his injuries at 11:12 pm. The other suffered non-life threatening injuries.
According to witness statements two or three black male suspects wearing hoodies and armed with handguns fired multiple rounds at the two victims and fled on foot. At this time there is no further suspect description and no arrests have been made.
Chula Vista Crimes of Violence Detectives are investigating the crime and traffic may be impacted in the area for the next several hours.
