Speeding Driver in a Work Zone Arrested for More Than Reckless Driving when Drugs Found

Noblesville, IN - This afternoon, while patrolling the southbound I-69 construction zone near exit 210, Master Trooper Troy Sunier stopped a vehicle for very excessive speed. 21 year old Zachary Anderson of Muncie was allegedly driving 90 miles per hour in a posted 60 miles per hour work zone, with workers present in the immediate area of the offense. The vehicle also had expired license plates, expired since January of 2016. During the stop, Sunier detected what he believed to be the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed nearly 70 grams of marijuana, as well as scales and other drug paraphernalia.
