Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reports a Chaffee couple arrested for Child Abuse, Domestic Assault, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Autumn S. Witcher (32) has been charged with (2) Counts of the Class C Felony of Abuse of a Child, (2) Counts of the Class C Felony of Domestic Assault 2nd Degree, and the Class A Misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Joshua J. Witcher (32) of has been charged with the Class A Misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Sheriff Walter states that on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 deputies responded to the Chaffee area for a report of child abuse. Deputies spoke with the children and it was determined that Autumn had struck both children in the face. This caused one of the juveniles to fall and injure her rib cage area.
Both children had bruising to their faces. Autumn and Joshua did not provide medical attention for the injuries.
Autumn and Joshua were located and transported to the Scott County Jail pending formal charges.
Autumn and Joshua remain in custody at the Scott County Jail. Bond was set by the court at $10,000 cash or surety for both of them.
