INCIDENT TYPE: Reminder of Winter Parking Ban in City of South Burlington (December 1 – April 1)
BRIEF NARRATIVE: The South Burlington Police Department will soon begin placing reminders of the winter parking ban on vehicles parked on city streets and in the city right of way. Citizens must plan for alternate parking from December 1 thru April 1 if they normally park on the city street or right of way between the hours of midnight and 8:00 AM.
City of South Burlington Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, Section 32: “No person, shall between the hours of 12 midnight and 8am including Sundays and legal holidays, during the period of December 1 of each year to April 1st of the following year, park any vehicle within the limits of any public highway of the City.”
A violation of Section 32 may result in your vehicle being towed. This ordinance is enforced regardless of the weather so that city streets remain clear throughout the winter months.
