Second Annual “Claus for Paws” is on at the ISP Bloomington Post!
Bloomington – In an effort to give back to the community we serve, Indiana State Police personnel at the Bloomington Post have created a donation “doghouse” box “Claus for Paws”. This “doghouse” will be used to collect items needed for sheltered pets at the White River Humane Society in Bedford. The donation box will be set up in the lobby of the Bloomington Post at 1500 North Packinghouse Road throughout the Christmas Season.
The White River Humane Society is particularly in need of dry cat food (preferably Purina), any brand of canned dog and cat food, non-clumping kitty litter, paper towels, bleach, and laundry soap. Monetary donations are also accepted and will go toward their medical fund. Other items that will gladly be accepted include collars, leashes, peanut butter and cheese whiz.
Donations to last year’s 1st Annual ISP Bloomington’s “Claus for Paws” drive resulted in over $300 worth of items and contributions, including one pet adoption.
The deadline for donations will be Sunday, December 18th with a delivery date to the White River Humane Society on Monday, December 19th.
