Miami County – Today, a citizen’s tip led to the arrest of Jacob Silvers, 20, rural Kokomo, IN on multiple arrest warrants.
This morning a phone call to the Indiana State Police Peru Post advised officers of Silvers location at a trailer home on 12948 South U.S. 31, Lot 82, rural Kokomo, IN. Further investigation by Troopers Ezariah Bricknell, Jeremy Perez, and Chad Babbs revealed Silvers was wanted on four separate arrest warrants issued from courts in Howard County. He had two warrants for failure to appear. He had a Howard Superior Court I arrest warrant alleging charges for domestic battery, criminal mischief, and battery resulting in bodily injury. He also had an additional Howard Superior Court I arrest warrant alleging a charge for sexual battery.
At approximately 9:40 a.m., Troopers Bricknell, Perez, and Babbs went to the home at 12948 South U.S. 31, Lot 82, were they located Silvers. He was taken into custody. During a search of Silvers person, officers puportedly found a misdemeanor amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He faces additional misdemeanor charges for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, in Miami County.
Silvers was transported to the Howard County Jail to answer for the arrests warrants.
