Lock your cars and remove valuable belongings. CPD is working many thefts in the SW part of town. 
Police have responded to many burglary of motor-vehicle incidents in the southwest corner of town. Majority of the thefts took place at the trailer park in the 1400 Blk of 8th street and along the 500 block of 12th Avenue. Most, if not all, the cars were unlocked and valuables were left out in the open. These crimes could have been prevented had the owners taken some precautions. Police are following up on leads.
