On December 10, 2016 at approximately 0237 hours the Absecon Police Department responded to a vehicle burglary in progress on Crestview Avenue. The suspect fled the scene on foot behind the Field of Dreams. Absecon Police Officers Southey, Markman, and Winkel set up a perimeter and requested for a K-9 Unit. K-9 Officer David Aristizabal with his partner Dozer, of the Pleasantville Police Department responded. K-9 Officer Aristizabal conducted a track and the suspect was located in the woods. The suspect was identified as Erik Stornes, a resident of Absecon. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly. This case now under investigation by the Absecon Detective Bureau.
