.SNOW WILL BEGIN THIS AFTERNOON WITH LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW
SPREADING EAST ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE EVENING. SNOW WILL
GRADUALLY END LATER ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON. SOME OF THE SNOW MAY BE
HEAVY AT TIMES. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM 6 TO 10 INCHES IN
IOWA AND ILLINOIS MAINLY NORTH OF HIGHWAY 30. FARTHER SOUTH TO
INTERSTATE 80 AMOUNTS WILL BE IN THE 3 TO 6 INCH RANGE.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN QUAD CITIES HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO
LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN DURING THE AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE THROUGH
SUNDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 10 INCHES.

* WIND...SOUTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN A MILE AND FREQUENTLY BELOW 1/2 MILE IN
HEAVIER SNOW.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE MID TO UPPER 20S.

* IMPACTS...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS OVER THE AREA...AND WILL REDUCE VISIBILITY TO UNDER 1
MILE AT TIMES.
