Two Men arrested for Bank Robbery.

On November 10, 2016 and December 7, 2016 Officers from the Hope Mills Police Department responded to the Bank of America on Cumberland Road in reference to robberies that occurred at that location. During the course of the investigation into these robberies, Hope Mills Police Investigators received a tip from Crimestoppers that Daniel Tremell McKoy, 31, was involved in the robberies of the bank. McKoy was taken into custody at approximately 2:00am on Sunday December 11, 2016 by the Fayetteville PD Violent Criminal Apprehension Team. After the arrest of McKoy, Investigators from the Hope Mills Police Department, Fayetteville Police Department and, the FBI developed information that a second individual, Edward Moore Jr., 39 of the 5000 block of Birch Road in Fayetteville, was also involved in the Bank of America robberies. On the afternoon of Sunday, December 11, Moore was taken into custody by members of the Fayetteville PD Violent Criminal Apprehension Team. Following Moore’s arrest, a search warrant was executed at his residence by HMPD Investigators, Fayetteville PD Investigators, and Agents from the local FBI field office. Items suspected to be related to the robberies were recovered during the search warrant and, during the arrest of Moore. Both subjects are currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on the following charges:

Edward Moore Jr. $400,000.00 bond

7 counts of Felony Second Degree Kidnapping
2 counts of Felony Discharge of a Firearm into Enclosure to Incite Fear
2 counts of Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
