Jessica Roggenkamp Missing Person Update
The Anderson Police Department is continuing its investigation into the disappearance of Jessica ROGGENKAMP, age 44, of Anderson. As of December 14, 2016, at 6:30 PM she has not been located.
ROGGENKAMP’s vehicle has been recovered from the southern Trinity County area where it was initially located on the 30 Road by members of the California Department of Fish & Wildlife. The vehicle was found to be out of gas, and ROGGENKAMP’s purse and cell phone were not located in the vehicle. A sleeping bag, duffle bag with clothing, and a pillow however were located in the vehicle. ROGGENKAMP’s vehicle had a spare tire on one of the wheels, with a damaged tire located in the trunk.
A ground search was conducted in a 360 degree radius around the vehicle, as well as to and from the road her vehicle was found on.
Investigators interviewed friends and family of ROGGENKAMP and learned that she frequented the area the vehicle was located in. The night ROGGENKAMP went missing she reportedly told one friend that she would be driving to Igo and “taking an adventure”, which they related often means she would be taking the back roads or a scenic route to her destination.
ROGGENKAMP’s cell phone has not been activated since her disappearance and no suspicious activity has been located on her cell phone records.
The Anderson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating ROGGENKAMP and are asking for anyone who may have seen her or her vehicle in the Highway 36 and 30 Road area to please contact Investigators at (530) 245-6526.
