Wintry weather is still on tap for eastern Kansas and western Missouri Saturday and Sunday.
Good Morning,
Wintry weather is still on tap for eastern Kansas and western Missouri Saturday and Sunday. The forecast is still on track for accumulating snow across the area, with a band of snow roughly 50 to 100 miles wide affecting these areas. Currently the heaviest snow is expected to form just north of the Kansas City Metro area. Still expecting 1 to 3 inches across the entire area, but areas within this heavier band could see higher amounts approaching perhaps 3 to 5 inches.
We are also still expecting Sunday to bring very cold wind chill values to the area, approaching 10 to 20 degrees below zero. Further north, toward the IA/MO border wind chill values could approach 20 to 25 degrees below zero.
