Putnamville Troopers Investigate Two Personal Injury Crashes
Putnamville—At 10:00 this morning, Indiana State Police and Parke County emergency agencies responded to a one-vehicle crash on US 36 near Old US 36 east of Rockville.
Preliminary investigation revealed Todd Smith, age unavailable, of Brownsburg, IN. was westbound on US 36 driving his 2008 Jeep, when he lost control on the slick roadway near Old US 36, hit the guardrail, and then rolled over coming to rest in the middle of the highway. Smith was transported to Union Hospital of Clinton for treatment of head lacerations and contusions. Smith was wearing a seatbelt and no citations were issued. Trooper Mike Laney investigated the crash. Assisting were the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, Parke County EMS, Rockville Police and Fire Departments.
Minutes later at 11:20, Indiana State Police and Vermillion County emergency agencies responded to a one-vehicle crash on the eastbound exit ramp of Interstate 74 near the four mile marker. Preliminary investigation revealed 21-year-old Andrew T. Davidson of Danville, Illinois was operating his silver 2003 Chevrolet Impala eastbound and lost control on the slick roadway of the exit ramp ultimately striking the guardrail. Davidson was transported to a Danville, Illinois area hospital for treatment of abrasions and chest pain. Trooper Tim Rader investigated the crash. Assisting were ISP Trooper Mike Laney, Vermillion County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Mike Holtkamp, Perrysville Fire/Rescue, and Vermillion County EMS. Seatbelt in use and no citations were issued.
