With the recent snow fall the police department has been receiving complaints regarding unmaintained sidewalks in the village. Village code states that property owners in the village are responsible to clear their sidewalks. Unmaintained sidewalks force pedestrians to walk in the street, which is dangerous. Pedestrians please do not walk in the streets, but if you must, especially at night, wear light colored, reflective clothing and walk against traffic! Please keep your sidewalks clear and help a neighbor do the same if possible.
