Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, announced the sentencing of Ronald Yourth, age 68, of Lebanon Township. In April 2016, Mr. Yourth was arrested after a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Lebanon Township Police Department revealedhe was in possession of child pornography. On October 21, 2016, Mr. Yourth pled guilty to Endangering the Welfare of a Child-Possessing Child Pornography, a third degree crime.Mr. Yourth was sentenced by the Honorable Angela F. Borkowski, JSC, to 364 days in the Somerset County Jail and five years probation. As a condition of probation, Mr. Yourth’s computer and phone usage will be subject to monitoring by the Probation Division. A violation of parole will expose Mr. Yourth to the maximum sentence permitted by law.The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process.
