Columbus-Yesterday evening, at approximately 6:30 pm, the Indiana State Police and Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of US 31 and County Road 750 South in Bartholomew County, which resulted in two people being flown to Indianapolis hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The initial investigation by Trooper Matt Holley indicated that a 2016 Chevrolet Cruse being driven by Samuel J. After the collision, both vehicles left the roadway before coming to a stop.

Finley, age 22, Scipio, Indiana was flown from the scene to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana for treatment of serious injuries. Morris has since been released from the hospital. Finley’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time. Abbott was transported to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana for treatment of minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is still ongoing. Blood draws were performed on both drivers for drugs and alcohol although drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors at this time.
