“HIT AND RUN TRAFFIC COLLISION IN NORTHEAST AREA LEAVES 19 YEAR OLD IN SERIOUS CONDITION”
Los Angeles- On December 28, 2016, at approximately 11:10 p.m., a severe injury hit and run traffic collision occurred on Fletcher Drive just south of Laclede Avenue in Northeast Area. The collision occurred when Ryan Coreas, 19 years old, and a resident of Los Angeles, was crossing Fletcher Drive outside of a marked crosswalk. He was in the southbound number one lane when he was struck by a gold or beige colored mini-van equipped with luggage rack on the roof. The driver of the mini-van never slowed or stopped as it fled southbound on Fletcher Drive.
Coreas was transported to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center by paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department. He is listed in serious condition.
