THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO NOON EST FRIDAY.
* LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY THIS AFTERNOON AND PERSIST THROUGH TONIGHT. SNOW SHOWERS WILL DIMINISH FRIDAY MORNING.
* THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL RATES WILL OCCUR BETWEEN 6 PM THIS EVENING AND 6 AM FRIDAY MORNING.
* WHERE SNOW SHOWERS PERSIST...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.
* GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES AT TIMES.
