White County, IN: On December 29, 2016 at approximatley 3:30 PM, Trooper Jerrad Foutch, Indiana State Police, observed a 2002 Sliver 1/2 ton Dodge truck traveling in excess of the posted speed limit on SR 39 at US 24, in White County, IN.  Trp Foutch activated the emergency lights on his patrol car to initate a traffic stop on the truck. The driver of the truck failed to stop and fled from Trp Foutch.  The pursuit continued through White County and entered Caroll County. The pursuit was ended at CR 1200N and CR 850W , Caroll County, when a White County Sheriffs Deputy placed stop sticks in the roadway.  The violator struck the stop sticks, damaged a tire and was unable to continue.  Kyle Balser, 29yrs of age, from Monticello, IN was arrested without further incident.  His female passenger Corina Smith, 41 yrs of age, Monticello, IN was also arrested at the scene.  

Balser is being held at the White County Sheriffs Department on preliminary charges of: Dealing Methamphetamine, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Illegal Possession of a Firearm Supression Device, Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Driving, False Informing and Driving While Suspended. 

Smith is also being held at the White County Sheriffs Department on preliminary charges of Possession of Methampetamine and Possession of Marijuana.
Assisting Agencies include White County Sheriffs Department, Caroll County Sheriffs Department, Indiana Division of Natural Resources, and the Monticello Police Department.
