There will be several road closures in Downtown Akron Dec. 31st, beginning at 1 pm until approx. 2 am for First Night 
The following roads will be closed on Saturday, December 31, 2016:
E. Mill St. between S. High St. and S. Broadway - 1:00 p.m. until approximately 2:00 a.m.
S. Main St. between Bowery St. and State St. - 5:30 p.m. until 12:30 p.m.
W. Bowery St. between W. Center St. and S. Main St. - will close one half hour before fireworks, then open up with all clear from Akron Fire Dept. (Fireworks shows are at 9 p.m. and midnight).
