Announces Arrest For:
Felony Possession with Intent Sell/Deliver Cocaine; Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; Carrying Concealed Weapon; Possession of Marijuana; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Jahmel Joshua Ross, 24 years of age of Cameron, North Carolina with the following charges: Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine; Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; Carrying Concealed Weapon; Possession of Marijuana; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. As a result of this arrest, twenty-three grams of Cocaine, five grams of Marijuana, a 9mm handgun, items of Drug Paraphernalia, and $3,565.00 in United States Currency was seized.
The arrest of Jahmel Joshua Ross was the result of an investigation conducted by the Patrol Division of the Southern Pines Police Department, along with the K-9 Unit of the Southern Pines Police Department (K-9 Mary), in the 500 block of South Carlisle Street.
Jahmel Joshua Ross appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was subsequently incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center under a $125,000.00 secured bond pending a hearing in Moore County District Court on January 24, 2017.
