FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alexandria, KY — January 5, 2017 — The Campbell County Office of Emergency Management, with the concurrence of the Campbell County Transportation Department, Campbell County Police Department, Campbell County Sheriff’s Department and the County Judge/Executive's Office has issued a Level One Travel Advisory for Campbell County, Kentucky. This travel advisory is intended to notify Campbell County residents of hazardous road conditions. Cautious driving is advised.
This travel advisory is not mandatory nor is it an order declaring nonessential traffic illegal.
This travel advisory will be effective until further notice.
William R. Turner, Director of the Campbell County Office of Emergency Management urges motorist to use extreme caution should travel be necessary. Turner noted that road conditions are expected to worsen rapidly this evening.
This travel advisory will be rescinded by the Office of Emergency Management when, upon concurrence with the Transportation Department, road conditions are no longer in a dangerous or hazardous condition.
Road Crews are out treating roadways, please pull your cars off the street if at all possible to help facilitate plows and treatment.
