We are monitoring and preparing for the major rain event forecast for this weekend. Sandbags and sand (self-serve) are available in the sand shed behind 1810 Squaw Valley Road. Flooding is forecast for the Truckee River and there may be localized flooding along Squaw Creek. We recommend avoiding potential avalanche hazard and mudslide areas within the Valley. Remember to avoid driving through flooded areas and standing water - it may be a great deal deeper that it appears and may conceal a washed out or undermined road surface.
