Advisory

Friendly Reminder of Freezing Temperatures on Sullivan's Island Saturday night.

Helpful Reminders you may not think about:
During freezing temperatures the two most vulnerable components in your Irrigation system are the Backflow Device, Pump and a drip system. Drip lines lay on the surface and often hold water. Shut off your water to the Irrigation System. Drain your Irrigation Pump. Protect your Backflow Device.

Instant hot water systems:
They are often installed on the outside of a home or in a non heated area. They to have cold water lines feeding them that may be exposed to freezing temperatures. Protect your pipes NOW. You may want to drip your hot water in addition to the cold water side to help prevent these lines from freezing. If you have a hot water tank but it is in an unheated area, please consider this as well.

The National Weather Service is forecasting freezing temperatures on the Island for Saturday Night January 7, 2017. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing on Sullivan's Island early Saturday night and remain through mid morning Sunday.
